I'm Powerless

If you're reading this, it means that my power went out.

Because of this huge bitch named Sandy:

If Hurricane Sandy wasn't there, and if you looked closely enough, you might
have been able to see me in Pennsylvania, waving up at the satellite.

I scheduled this post on Sunday night and was going to unschedule (de-schedule?) it if my power remained.  But alas, if you are reading this, my power went out or I died before I could stop the post from going up.

Hopefully the power won't be out for too long, but it could be a week or two.  Don't worry: I have some bread, peanut butter, candles, and books.  And Sadie has plenty of Purina and treats.

I had a Halloween post planned, so please do me a favor and maintain your Halloween excitement until I get back.

And if you're in Sandy's path, stay safe!

Love,
Youngman Brown

  1. Ooh, that was smart of you! But sorry you lost power. It looks like around 7 million people did. That's crazy! I'm glad you're well-stocked. And thank God you made sure Sadie has treats! Stay safe and I hope you stay warm, that seems like that would be one of the worst parts of having no electricity...no heat.

  8. Stay safe, YMB!! We just had the flood waters recede from the Diva bitch. Funny, I bought PB&J for my family's survival kit.

  9. Ah, damn that's no good. I had a few power surges, but for some odd reason, the hurricane managed to leave my town moderately undamaged. Meanwhile, my girlfriend has two tree resting on top of her car, and every town around me is still without power. It's all good though, I suffered enough last year as I was without power for 4 days.

  15. Our power just came back on late last night. I am still waiting for some of my friends that live on Long Beach Island and in Seaside Park to contact me. Hope you are OK down in AC. I heard the casinos were all closed again today, and I saw some footage of the boardwalk this morning that made me cry.

Stay safe Mike- love, fellow Jersey Shore girl, Jaybird
