I don't have Lifetime channel here, luckily... But there's a channel called Liv which, according to your description of it, is pretty similar to Lifetime. They rerun TV series like "Dawson's Creek" (so you get to see Dawson's ridiculous crying face again) or "Gilmore Girls"... but then there are this hideous movies like the one you talked about and I can tell you one thing: I hate them, they're crap, but when there's nothing good to watch on TV, I watch them. Just to kill time. I don't like them, most of them try to be dramatic and are pretty ridiculous actually, but they are so, so bad that I end up whatching them anyway only to laugh at the horrible characters (and second-hand actors) and bad-portrayed real stories.

I have yet to meet a woman that actually injoys watching Lifetime movies. Myself included. I will admit to being interested in more masculine things than most of my girlfriends (guns, MMA, monter turcks, boobs. ok,ok, I know, who isn't interested in boobs?) Probably because most of my girlfriends are very "Women rock!", boarderline feminists. But as I said, they don't like them either. So I really don't get the allure. I do however watch the Lifetime channel. All those sitcom reruns you were talking about? Yep, that's my early morning routine. I agree with you. The only other thing on is news and I would rather not know about the outside world.

I for one, dislike most of the Lifetime movies. Occasionally they will have one that is heart-warming, sort of like a good Hallmark movie, that I will want to see, and then I would watch it, usually to my disappointment. As for the Drew Peterson movie, Lifetime has been making more movies about real events that have made national headlines (The Natalee Holloway Story was on recently I believe). For as much of an animal as Drew Peterson is, I think some of us can't fathom how a person could do that to another human being, so we watch to try and make sense of it all, as if Lifetime was there and knew what happened. For some women, Rob Lowe might help, but other than that, that's my explanation for you. Hope it helps.
